Because we're a professional travel agency with your best interest (and bottom line) in mind, Ticket Express Travel will never offer on-line booking capabilities. We feel this option is both dangerous and insulting to our clients.

Dangerous because airline tariffs and rules have been purposely designed by carriers to complicate the booking process. Any one carrier may have 6, 8, often 10 or more fares between any two points in the country. Even travel agents with many years experience are challenged to assure lowest-possible fares for their clients.

Insulting because on-line booking asks you to waste time and effort doing things for yourself with absolutely no reward for your work — often, just  the opposite. In test after test, our travel agents invariably have been able to offer substantial cost savings for our clients during the course of a short, simple phone call.

The Internet is a very biased source of travel information, which can be confusing to the average user. You must ask yourself how much is your time worth, and what if you make an error? Once you have finished your transaction, and need to change it, the ability to successfully alter your reservations is almost nil. At this point, it would be necessary to call the airline directly, which seldom works. You could drive to the airport, pay to park, stand in a long line, and then deal with an individual who could care less. Internet reservation sites seem like a good deal until there is a problem.

We often hear from clients who tell us stories of searching through Web sites for schedules, availabilities and fares, only to retire in confusion or annoyance. We try to dissuade them from doing this in the future with the assurances we are truly available 24 hours a day and happy to furnish the information they need. They often tell us, "Heck, it wasn't worth a call, I was just looking for some options," and while we disagree (anything's worth a call — answering them is our business, after all) we also understand this courtesy on their part.
